- I am looking for a Winsock compatible SMTP server to run with Trumpet Winsock.
- I have acquired Eudora, but it only seems to use SMTP for sending mail and
- uses POP for receiving mail. I need to locate a program that uses SMTP to
- receive mail since I have a small domain with a couple of users who all need
- to be able to get their mail. In the past I have used Chameleon mail to fill
- this need but the system I need SMTP for runs Windows in standard mode and
- none of the Chameleon applications run reliably under standard mode. Is there
- a program out there that meets my needs? Inexpensive is important, but it
- doesn't have to be free.
-
- Please reply via the newsgroup since I can't receive mail right now. Thanks.

- Please reply to this post in the newsgroup because I don't have a working SMTP
- server on the system I am using to communicate for the next week. Where can I
- find a windsock compatible SMTP server to run on my system? Inexpensive is
- important but it doesn't have to be free. On another system I am using the
- Chameleon mail program as an SMTP server but this system only runs Windows in
- standard mode and none of the Chameleon programs run reliably under standard
- mode. Thanks.

- Subject: Wintalk used to work but now...
-
- I setup up wintalk ver. 1.1a (I believe) and it worked fine but now it's not
- working. I keep getting the mesg 'Error #10048'. I don't know what's wrong.
- I'm running Novell Lan Workplace using Novell's latest winsock. I also am
- running mosaic 20.a2, trumpet news reader (the lwp ver), Xwin. Everything
- else works fine just neither talk daemons. Also am I using the wrong winsock?
- Is trumpet winsock different from the lwp winsock? And what the difference
- between these two and a Winsock Compliant 1.1 something or other. I tried
- reading the FAQ but things just got to complex for me so I didn't understand
- it. Any insight into any of these areas would be greatly appreciated.
-
- I would also like any suggestions for other talk programs.
-
- Thanks,
